The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a federal immigration program designed to attract and retain skilled workers and international graduates to the Atlantic provinces of Canada – Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador. The program offers various pathways to permanent residency for eligible candidates.
To apply for the Atlantic Immigration Program, eligible candidates must first obtain a job offer from an employer in one of the four participating provinces. The employer will then work with the candidate to complete the necessary paperwork and submit the application to the appropriate immigration authorities.
To hire employees through the Atlantic Immigration Program, designated companies need to show they can help them settle in to their new home. Multi-provincial businesses must register with each province in which they have offices. A permanent residency application can be submitted on behalf of a foreign worker. It’s not just the government that benefits when businesses hire foreign workers.
