Super visa holders can visit their children or grandchildren for up to 5 years in Canada. It’s a visa that provides multiple entries for a period of up to 10 years. When you enter Canada, a border services officer will confirm how long you can stay
Eligibility:
- A relationship document to prove your relationship with the Canadian citizen or Canadian permanent resident you are intending to visit.
- Financial documents of your child or grandchild to show their minimum income threshold. They should also provide documents to show that they will financially support you while you are in Canada.
- Medical insurance of a minimum of $100,000, valid for at least one year from a private Canadian insurance company to cover any hospitalization, treatment, and repatriation
- Medical examination
- Documents to confirm the purpose of the visit
- Invitation letter from your child or grandchild
- be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
- a copy of this person’s Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document
- have proof of private medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company
- This medical insurance needs to
- provide at least $100,000 in emergency coverage
You must also:
- apply for a super visa from outside Canada
- have your visa printed outside Canada (wait for visa office instructions)
You can’t include dependents in this application.
